Introducing The Bombora Signet, a ring that captures the raw power of the ocean, inspired by the legendary king waves at Cowaramup Bombora, or Cow Bombie, off the coast of Western Australia. These waves rise suddenly from deep water and crash over the reef, drawing big-wave surfers looking for the ultimate ride.
The word "Bombora" comes from Indigenous Australian languages, describing offshore reef formations where waves break over submerged rock or sandbanks. For generations, these spots have been both a source of food and a reminder of the ocean’s strength. The Bombora Signet is a tribute to that connection between land, sea, and the adventurous spirit that calls people to the waves.
The breaking wave design is carved into the silver and filled with high-temperature enamel, creating a bold contrast that makes the wave feel alive. The process locks in the depth and movement of the design, giving it a striking, long-lasting finish.
Made from solid recycled 925 sterling silver, this ring has the wide signet body that’s unique to Sailors & Seekers. The oxidized finish brings out the details, adding a rugged, worn-in look that suits an everyday piece.
While tough, enamel does need some care to keep it looking its best.
Keep it away from harsh chemicals like chlorine and cleaning products.
Store it separately from other jewelry to avoid scratches.
Clean gently with a soft cloth. Avoid ultrasonic cleaners or harsh polishing compounds, as they can damage the enamel.
If the enamel ever shows signs of wear, a professional jeweler can restore it.
