The Spring Hill
The Spring Hill
Limited First Formation
The Spring Hill is being released as a small numbered first batch of 25 pieces.
Each ring in this first formation will be individually made, finished, and numbered from 01/25 to 25/25. Once this batch is complete, future releases may return in new small formations, but the first 25 will remain the original release.
Because each piece is handmade, small differences in texture, cracks, grooves, stone character, and finish are part of the design.
The Story
The Spring Hill is inspired by Spring Hill near Trentham, a quiet part of Victoria with a rare volcanic story beneath it.
In a state shaped by basalt, Spring Hill is different. It is known for icelandite, an unusual volcanic rock found in only one known Victorian location. That idea became the starting point for this ring, something dark, rare, local, and formed under pressure.
At the centre sits a natural 7 × 7 mm black spinel, chosen for its deep, glassy darkness. It is not pretending to be volcanic rock, but it carries the feeling of it. Sharp, quiet, dense, and grounded.
The sterling silver band has been shaped with concave grooves all around, giving it a worn, carved rhythm. The crown and shoulders are finished with small chips, cracks, and rough details, inspired by the way volcanic stone cools, fractures, and weathers over time.
This ring carries character. It has grit. It has weight. It feels like something found, shaped, and carried forward.
A piece about pressure, place, and quiet strength. Made for the ones who do not quite fit the pattern, but become more interesting because of it.
